Foeto-maternal outcome in oligohydramnios

Background: Oligohydramnios is defined as an amniotic fluid index (AFI) of ≤5 cm. AFI calculated by adding the depth in centimetres largest vertical pocket each four equal uterine quadrants ultrasonography. We aimed to evaluate predictive value (≤5 cm) for mode delivery, associated complications, perinatal outcome, birth weight, meconium staining and APGAR scores.Methods: This was a prospective study 100 antenatal women who presented at our OPD GMERS Medical College Civil Hospital, Sola, Ahmedabad, Gujarat with gestational age between 34 41 weeks over 1-year duration from 2020 2021. The women’s history taken, clinical examination done, measured, results were tabulated.Results: Prevalence most among 20-30 group. Most patients delivered vaginally. Anaemia hypertension common complications. There no neonatal death this study. No significant correlation found oligohydramnios low weight babies.Conclusions: has caesarean section foetal distress babies.
